My fathers had a thing about BBQ. He LOVED BBQ. It didn't matter whether it was summer or winter. He BBQed.
This is his recipe to marinade beef. He told me to marinate the beef at least half day, preferably 48 hours.
Ingredients: (for 2-4 steaks)
ca 1/2 cup red wine
ca. 1/2 cup Soy sauce
ca. 1/2 cup sweet chilli sauce
2-3 garlic cloves - crushed
1 tbs White pepper
A handful of fresh herb - whatever you have at home - finely chopped
(If none is available, use dried herb, such as oregano, basil, thyme, etc)
ca. 1/2 cup olive oil
1 tsp. chilli pepper powder (optional.)
Directions:
1) Mix everything in a bowl
2) Marinade meat in a plastic bag, seal, and keep in fridge at least half day (preferably 48 hours...)
3) BBQ!
